Welcome to our Hotel!

My name is Karen. Let me share with you a little bit about how the idea to build The Hotel Marea Royal came to be.

In 1998 I traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico for the first time and discovered Puerto Escondido. There was very little development in the region at the time. After a few more trips back to Puerto, my family and I decided to buy the land next to Playa Zicatela, where the Hotel is currently being built. After consulting with local Architects, the plans for The Hotel Marea Royal were drafted up and construction began in 2015.

Once completed, this beautiful Hotel will feature 16 rooms (including a Presidential Suite) all decorated with a regional flavor, a swimming pool, a full-service Cafeteria, and more! And did we mention that a breath-taking view of the beach is available from several parts of the Hotel!?

I would like to thank my husband for personally overseeing the construction and development of the Hotel, which is now becoming a reality.
